Who Owns Elk & Bloom?
I started and founded Elk & Bloom in 2020, through somewhat of a lockdown hobby, which evolved into the wonderful jewellery fam that we have today. The brand grew in a very organic way, and as we've grown, I've found I wasn't the only one searching for a beautiful, high quality jewellery that’s hypoallergenic, life-proof and yet, still affordable. A mix that I've always felt so strongly about.
How did Elk & Bloom start?
After years of adoring jewellery but struggling to find pieces that didn’t irritate my sensitive skin, I decided to create my own collection. I wanted to build a brand that not only reflects my passion for beautiful jewellery but also offers high-quality, hypoallergenic options that can be worn effortlessly every day. Something that many women struggle to find and wish there was an easier option for.
Where does the name Elk & Bloom come from?
So fun fact, my fiancé is actually Norwegian, and I think that's why an Elk is my favourite animal, but that isn't the actual reason. The real reason behind the name and the idea behind Elk & Bloom, is that an Elk is a very graceful creature, something that is somewhat beautiful, but it's bold and it's powerful. And when you think about blooming, I think it means to really come into your own. I think that juxtaposition between something so strong and something so utterly beautiful is a really nice match and I think it does represent who we are as a brand and the jewellery as well.
What is Elk & Bloom's mission?
My mission with Elk & bloom has, and will always be, to create stunning jewellery that truly resonates with people. I felt there was a gap in the market for pieces that combine beauty, durability, and affordability, so I set out to fill that void. And I wanted the jewellery to represent the big, small, or tiny moments, in peoples lives - our jewellery becomes an extension of ourselves when that happens, and it means more to us than just the beautiful design. I think that's why people wear jewellery, because it's the only item that does more than just be in it's physical appearance. It means more than anything else.
What is Elk & Bloom made from?
What sets us apart from other brands is not just the high quality gold top layer (for the gold items), but the base layer that really makes the difference. Many brands will use a low quality core metal, such as brass, nickel, or copper, whereas we use a very high grade sterling silver or 316L stainless steel. This means that you will always have a high quality item, and even if your skin is super sensitive (me too, girl!), you won't experience irritation that's associated with the lower grade metals.
What has been the biggest reason for the growth in Elk & Bloom?
The community, 100%, the reason we sell our items everyday is down to our customers. And I think it's been incredible they've found us so quickly. We share the same values about wanting to wear our jewellery whilst swimming, sleeping, exercising, and actually, never wanting to take it off.
I know we didn't invent jewellery, but the major factor that changes E&B to other brands is that we did create a product that solves the top three problems in the jewellery industry. Something I'm really proud of.
And in doing so, we found our community - likeminded jewellery lovers that want more from their jewellery and who feel that wearing it is more so about it being an extension of ourselves, and a feeling of what the jewellery means to us, than just the beautiful aesthetic of it all.

How to clean Elk & Bloom jewellery?
We've done so many videos and blogs on cleaning and taking care of jewellery - because I truly think the key to keeping your jewellery shiny and looking like the day you bought it, is that a little clean goes a long way!
We also package each Elk & Bloom jewellery with a cleaning cloth, which is infused with our special polishing and anti-tarnish agent, suitable for use on sterling silver, gold, plated jewellery, stainless steel and precious gems. This will prevent dirt building up and keep your jewellery as shiny as the day we shipped it out. Plus, each order also comes with a gift pouch as standard, made from high quality recycled cotton, so that your jewellery can be kept safe and sound when you're not wearing it.

This will never not feel crazy for me. When we got approached to be stocked in our first major high street retailer, I remember being sat at my kitchen table. This was year one, and I was so new to everything, I would also admit that I almost even marked them as spam, because I couldn't comprehend how unreal it was and that they would be reaching out to us! Since then, we've grown, and scaled and launched in various new retailers and I'm so proud to have partnered with a variety of different outlets and stockists. A journey that's not been an obvious or easy one, but has definitely been exciting.

When is the Elk & Bloom sale?
We've made a conscious effort to not run sales or discounts regularly, especially since we're running such a tight ship and it's not always possible. So any sales or discount codes that you do get your hands on, is usually a one-off, or for a very special time of the year. However, we do have some exciting campaigns that we'll be announcing over the next year which I'm really excited about and cannot wait to share with you all.
